MSA test sessions typically accommodate all Moves in the Field (Skating Skills) and Free Skate (Singles) testing levels through Senior, as well as Pattern (Solo and Partnered) and Solo Free Dance through Gold test levels. Select test sessions each year will also feature an *International Dance panel.
Parents of skaters testing should expect to volunteer their services in the judges’ hospitality room, music and announcing, and test paper running. Volunteer signup will be available with the schedule.
Our next test session will be Friday, February 7, 2025
Registration Deadline is
January 28, 2025
Register using the button below
All registrations must be received at least ten days in advance of the test date and by the registration deadline set by the Test Chair.
All testing fees must be paid in full before a skater will be permitted to test.
Tests will be scheduled in the order they are received and based on skater’s home club, with priority given to MSA and MUSC members.
Non-payment by the posted deadline may result in forfeiture of a testing slot.
Testing dates/times are set by ice time availability and visiting judges’ schedules. Every effort is made to accommodate time restrictions, but plan to be flexible on test days.
Testing @ other clubs
If you are an MSA Member (full, bridge, adult) and plan to test at another club (either in-person or virtually) you need to request a "Permission to Test" letter for an out-of-club test.
Complete the following Google Form to request your letter. Once your form is submitted, send an email to testchair@miamiskatingacademy.com letting the Test Chair know you have submitted a request.
Please submit your request at least 5 days prior to needing a letter.
You will need to include the following information in the Google Form:
Skater’s name
USFS number
Host club
Test date
Test(s) to be taken
If the Permission to Test letter is needed with less than 72 hour notice, the skater will be assessed a $25 convenience fee.
IJS Test Credit
Skaters may also submit IJS Protocol to receive test credit to the Test Chair. Eligible events include singles free skate, pairs free skate, and free dance at the Juvenile - Senior levels. Contact the Test Chair for additional information.
