Gold Medalists

The test structure within U.S. Figure Skating serves as a crucial foundation for skaters. These tests are evaluated by official judges and cover various areas, including skating skills, singles, pattern dance, free dance, and pairs. As skaters advance, the tests become progressively more challenging.

While competitive skaters are required to participate in the U.S. Figure Skating test structure in order to compete, all skaters may opt to take tests as a means of continually challenging themselves and their skating abilities.

The pinnacle achievement in each discipline is attaining the "GOLD" (formerly Senior) level test. When a skater passes this gold test, they earn the prestigious title of “U.S. Figure Skating Gold Medalist.” This designation represents years of dedication and hard work in the sport.

In a typical year, approximately 40,000 U.S. Figure Skating test levels are completed by athletes. Among these less than five percent reach the gold level. Becoming a gold medalist is a remarkable accomplishment, symbolizing the culmination of a skater’s journey in pursuit of excellence.

Miami Skating Academy would like to honor our Gold Medalist members and congratulate them on their achievement!
