U.S. Figure Skating supports the rights of its members to participate in the sport of figure skating in an environment that is free of abuse and/or harassment. Likewise, the Miami Skating Academy does not tolerate or approve of any form abuse or harassment of its member participants, including but not limited to skaters, parents, board members, coaches, and volunteers.
The U.S. Figure Skating SkateSafe™ Program utilizes the MAAPP and SafeSport protocols initiated by The U.S. Center for SafeSport. These protocols address prevention and reporting procedures for the following:
Sexual misconduct
Physical misconduct
Emotional misconduct
Bullying, threats, and harassment
Hazing
Willfully tolerating misconduct
The Miami Skating Academy fully supports U.S. Figure Skating's SkateSafe™ Program. Our SkateSafe Coordinator will monitor education and background screening compliance of coaches and adult members.

The Miami Skating Academy also encourages ALL members and their families to be educated about the SafeSport program. Training is available for FREE at www.safesporttrained.org.
